There are currently 10 Governors at Madginford Primary School with two vacancies for Co-opted Governors. These can only be filled on the basis of skills which can be brought to the governing board in order to support the school. We are interested in volunteers, able to commit sufficient time, with experience of any of the following:

  • Being a board member in another sector, or a governor/trustee in another school.
  • Promoting community cohesion.
  • Procurement/purchasing.
  • Property and/or estate-management.
  • School sector HR policy and processes.
  • Preparation for and response to external oversight. 

Formal meetings are held during the early evening but other monitoring visits take place during the school day. please contact the Chair of Governors for further information.
